Ultraviolet Bubble Bar

I do love a good bubble bar and Lush just seem to get it right every time.
This one is Ultraviolet and has recently been dicontinued much to my dissapointment. I really hope they bring it back as I love it.
The bar is shaped like a rainbow and comprises of four colours...dark purple, violet, blue and the centre is green.

I never tend to use a whole bubble bar in one bath as it seems quite wasteful and to be honest a small chunk of this is enough to fill your bath with bubbles galore.

To the right is an image of the bath after using a chunk of the purple and lilac part.
It makes a beautiful lavender coloured bath and smells delicious too.

To the left is an image of the bath after using the blue and green parts of this bubble bar.
I absolutely love the blue part....the water becomes a gorgeous shade of turquoise.
Ultraviolet cost me £3.95 and after cutting it up I managed to get about 7 or 8 baths out of it.
The bar's main ingredients are Ylang Ylang and Jasmine which give it an amazing soft floral scent.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The essential oil Ylang Ylang is used in aromatherapy. It is believed to relieve high blood pressure, normalize sebum secretion for skin problems, and is considered to be an aphrodisiac. The oil from ylang-ylang is widely used in perfumery for oriental or floral themed perfumes (such as Chanel No. 5). Ylang-ylang blends well with most floral, fruit and wood scents.

Ickle Baby Bot

I used this bathbomb in water that had sunnyside bubble bar in it.
It's baby blue in colour, shaped like a little robot and has a delicate lavender scent.
The thing that I love most about it is that it is meant for you and baby (if you have one).
The main ingredients that make up the bomb are all oils associated with their calming influences on the body. There's lavender oil, sandlewood oil and camomile blue oil.
At £1.95 you can't go wrong with this little guy!

Nails by Alice

My sister Alice is a beautician as well as a Nail technician. She frequently does my nails for me and uses products by Nail Harmony.
This set of nails is still one of my faves so far.
Shamefully I am a nail bitter and my nails end up really short, so now and again I have to have extensions to stop me from biting.
The products that were used for these talons are Nail harmony hard gel and an overlay of Gelish gel polish in 'Make you blink pink'.
I always ised to have acrylic extensions however after having the hard gel done I would never go back. Acrylic destroys the nail bed and leaves your natural nails weak and soft, whereas the hard gel soaks off nicely and you would never know that you'd had it on your nails.
Out of all of the gelish colours this pink is my favourite, it's almost neon and reminds me of barbie.

Take a look at my sister's Instagram nail profile and contact her for rates etc

Honey Bee Bath Ballistic

Honey Bee bath bomb is one of the understated ones in my opinion. While it dosen't really have the WOW factor when it comes to dissolving, what it does have is an amazing smell and is one of the best for leaving my skin feeling soft.
The main ingredients are honey (which we all know is a great natural product for use on the skin anyway) Aloe Vera and Rhassoul mud. Yes you read that correctly MUD!

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The rhassoul or ghassoul is a natural mineral clay mined in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco since the eighth century. It is combined with water to clean the body and has been used by Moroccan women for centuries to care for their skin and hair. Rhassoul contains silica, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium, lithium, and trace elements.
Today, rhassoul is used in Turkish baths. Along with a glove, or "kessa", Rhassoul is used as a facial mask and poultice to the body. It is similar to a western style mud wrap. It is intended to soften the skin, reduce sebum secretion, regenerate the skin by removing dead cells, and rebalance the skin by tightening the pores.

The Bomb smells like it's namesake......honey and is yellow and beige in colour which leaves the bath looking quite undesireable, I almost felt like I was getting into a bath of urine.....sorry for the gross comparrison!
Like I said before it does not really do anything fancy in the water and it does leave a residue of grit and mud in the bottom of the bath afterwards but if you want a bath that is calming and cleansing then I'd suggest getting your hands on one of these. Check out the link below for the video of Honey Bee in action!

My Love of All Thing Lush!

LUSH

As time goes on you will find that this blog has many a post about products from LUSH.
Quite a few years back I discovered a LUSH store in Brent Cross (I think that is where it was anyway) and was instantly drawn in by the heavenly sweet scent that impregnates not only everyone who walks in the store but also everyone within about a 1 mile radius of it. (okay a little over exaggerated but you get the point)
The store itself is like walking into a sweet shop because it's full of colourful sweet delights that make you feel instantly happy or in some cases quite sick as the smell can be quite overpowering.
I know of quite a few people who have commented that they really hate the smell when I have spoken of my love of LUSH products, so I guess it's one of those you either Love it or Hate it things.
I can't remember which item I first purchased, I think it may have been the comforter or something similar but I remember using it and thinking how amazing my bath water looked and loving the smell that was left on my skin afterwards.
The good thing about all of this brand's products is that they are all handmade, are 100% vegetarian, the ingredients are sourced ethically, the packaging is limited and recyclable or compostable and they are against animal testing.
All of these things are another bonus for me and so this is where my passion began...
